Merry Christmas to all.
Our Christmas Day was happy, calm, and peaceful. Sunshine and Glory couldn't wait to get up Christmas morning and go downstairs to see what Santa had brought. Christmas Eve, Glory set out milk, cookies, and a letter that she had hand written and wrinkled up to look "really old". (not sure about the significance of the "old" look, but whatever) She was so happy when she realized that the cookies and milk were gone in the morning. (most of the cookies were gone except the peanut butter cookie because Santa doesn't like those as much)
The girls were thankful for each gift, but I guess the girls favorite gift was the karaoke machine. Now, not only can they sing at the top of their lungs, they have a microphone to go with it!!! At least they sing the right words now.
Our day came to an end with a visit from friends who brought more cookies and treats, and were able to share a piece of apple pie with us. I'm getting really good at the apple pie thing. (thanks mom)
Of course this is the prettiest and most exciting holiday for us, but we can't ever forget the real reason behind it. The girls were able to participate in a Christmas Musical, "The Gift" at our friends church celebrating the birth of Jesus. It was full of music, love, and joy. It was a really nice way to begin the Christmas celebrations.
We hope each of you have enjoyed your Holiday as well and will "believe in the wonder of Christmas".
Peace to all.
