The girls and I just returned from summer camp this weekend, which is located in a small town about 2 hours west of our home. What a crazy, busy, fun week we had! Sunshine of course was an all around camper, Glory, a pre-camper, and I worked with the pre-campers while also playing co-counselor to 9 and 10 yr. old girls. Right up my alley. Our week was full of new friends, bible stories, devotionals, messy water sports, crafts, tie dyeing, swimming, almost yummy meals, sweets from the canteen, and very little sleep. For me anyway. The girls slept like rocks. However, sleeping doesn't always come as easy to me if I'm not in my own cozy bed. But that doesn't really matter. What matters is that the girls seemed to love every moment, make new friends, became more independent, and will have memories to treasure that can be built upon each summer. We were happy to be a part of such a week.
